The Free-range show is a huge annual show, which specialises in featuring Fine art and photography from creative institutions across the United Kingdom. To be able to afford at the space, we did several fundraising to meet our target of 5000. The print auction was one of them. We contacted several photographers around the UK, also from India and other parts of Europe to donate prints. We received a good amount of positive replies. As part of promoting the event, we created promotional videos, social media accounts and posters, which increased the following of the event. Everyone in the year group had an allocated role and responsibilities. This made sure everything was moving smoothly. We managed to collect works of 28 photographers, including student prints. There were postcards sales and auction catalogue put together for the audience at the venue. The event was a success, and we managed to raise around a grand towards our Final show.
Unfortunately, the Free-range show was cancelled this year due to the pandemic. However, the college provided us with professional portfolio reviews and group websites for the promotion of our works. Cancellation of the Free-range show did take away a golden opportunity for us emerging artists. But PCA tried their best to compensate and provide the graduates with equal opportunities.
